Capital tie called off one hour before kick off
Threave's SFA challenge cup tie was called off one hour before kick off after the team and committee travelled all the way to Civil Service Stroller's ground. Heavy rain after the pitch inspection earlier in the morning caused the tie to be postponed and will now be played on Saturday 15th March.

Threave Rovers 3 - 0 Saints (Cook 10mins, Og 12mins, Gault 60mins)
Threave went into this game looking for revenge from Saints knocking them out of the tweedy cup and it took them only ten minutes to take the lead. A great driven ball by Wilby found on form Cook who swivelled well in the box and struck a low hard shot into the bottom corner of the goal. Within two minutes Threave were two up, a corner from the right was held up in the wind and Saints midfielder Ritchie Maxwell headed the ball into his own net with no one near him. Saints regrouped and could have pulled one back just before the break but a good save by parker in the Threave goal denied Irving. After the break the game did not really take off with Threave trying to kill the game off and saints trying to get themselves back into the game. On the hour mark a corner fell to Donley at the edge of the box but before he could shoot, Gault took over and unleashed an unstoppable shot into the roof of the saints net to put the game out of Saints reach. Both teams then cancelled each other out for the remaining thirty minutes with Threave management strangely not using any of the five subs especially with the big weekend game ahead The game ended with Parker and his defenders gaining their fifth clean sheet in a row.
Parker, Wilby, Fingland, Paterson, Gault, Struthers, Baty, Beattie, Donley, Cook, Warren. Subs not used Kerr, Adams, Rogerson, Wilson, Smith.
